What is the time commitment for volunteering?
The time commitment is flexible and depends on your availability and the type of volunteer work you choose. Can I volunteer with my friends, family, or coworkers?

Who can volunteer with Heart for Paws?
Anyone with a passion for animals and a desire to help is welcome! Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Minors may need parental consent or supervision, depending on the role.
Is training provided?
Yes! All new volunteers receive basic orientation and role-specific guidance. For certain tasks, like handling animals or managing adoptions, more detailed training may be provided.
How often do I need to volunteer?
There is no fixed requirement. Whether you can help weekly, monthly, or occasionally—we appreciate every bit of time you give. Some roles, like fostering, may need more regular involvement.
Do I have to handle animals directly?
Not at all. We have many non-animal-contact roles available, like admin work, organizing supplies, content creation, or event planning. Just let us know your comfort level.
